A look at today’s Edmonton weather by Environment Canada.

Friday morning temperatures at the Edmonton Blatchford station measured 8.1 C with 4 km/h winds out of the west, southwest.

For all we know, this might be our last hurrah.

Starting today we embark on five glorious days of gorgeous temperatures that should go a long way in helping anyone struggling with the fact that it is actually October — seriously though, it’s October!?

Forecasters are calling for sunshine today and a high of 19 C with temperatures hovering around the 20 C mark over the next five days. It looks like we’ll return to normal by mid-week next week so be sure to soak up the sun while it lasts. And be sure to scroll down the page a little and check out some of the brilliant art our photographers filed in the last 24 hours. This city, and surrounding area, sure is gorgeous this time of year.
