A 22-year-old woman was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after being dragged behind a vehicle in a gas station parking lot Saturday afternoon.

Edmonton police are seeking witnesses and dash cam footage of the hit-and-run collision that occurred in a 7-Eleven parking lot on the corner of 127 Street and 118 Avenue around 5 p.m.

Officers believe the woman exited a stationary vehicle and approached the driver’s side, when she was carried and dragged a short distance, spokeswoman Cheryl Sheppard said in a news release Sunday morning.

The woman was left near the entrance of the parking lot and the vehicle fled the scene. She was then treated and transported to hospital by paramedics.

Investigators don’t have a vehicle description at this time, but are asking to speak with anyone who may have video footage from the area.
