ETS driver charged after bus strikes pedestrian

An ETS bus driver has been charged following a collision with a pedestrian Thursday afternoon.

At about 2 p.m., Edmonton police responded to a collision involving a bus and a woman at the intersection of Jasper Avenue and 109 Street.

It was reported to police that the bus was turning left onto 109 Street from Jasper Avenue when it struck a 32-year-old woman who was walking across 109 Street.

The woman was transported to hospital and has since been released with minor injuries.

The bus driver has been charged with failing to yield to a pedestrian. The name of the bus driver was not released.
