Fire crews are working to put out a blaze reported in an Oliver building, Edmonton Fire Rescue Services (EFRS) says.
An EFRS spokesperson told Postmedia that firefighters were called to a building described as a three-storey rooming house near 100 Avenue and 114 Street shortly after 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Firefighters arrived on the scene within a couple of minutes of the call, EFRS said, with six crews in all responding, and declared the fire under control shortly after 8 p.m.
A search of the building found it empty, EFRS noted, and although Emergency Medical Services also responded to the scene, there have been no reported injuries.
As of 9:15 p.m., the fire is still considered active, EFRS noted, and crews are still working to put it out.
