The Edmonton Corn Maze has unveiled its 2019 design, partnering with the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation.

This year’s stocks of corn will be cut to create the outline of the hospital’s Teddy Bear doctor logo when viewed from the air.

“We try and theme each year’s maze around something with a local slant, an event, team, charity. Something that gets people excited, creates some word of mouth buzz, and draws attention to what is depicted in the maze,” said Jesse Kraay, owner of the corn maze.

Over the past 19 years the maze has featured designs of Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid, the Edmonton Food Bank and Santas Anonymous. Kraay said the maze will hold events on the Labour Day and Thanksgiving long weekends to raise funds for the Stollery Foundation.

“We will also have programming onsite throughout the year which will help share some of the work the Stollery is doing,” said Kraay.

The maze will be open from July 25 to October 20.
