Edmonton weather: What are those strange green things growing on the trees?

A look at today’s Edmonton weather by Environment Canada.

Thursday morning temperatures at the Edmonton Blatchford station measured 4.1 C with 6 km/h winds out of the east.

The rain has all but stopped leaving behind greener grass, trees with leaves (what are those, again?) and cool, cloudy temperatures in the mid-to-low teens over the next couple of days. It looks as though Sunday might be our best shot at returning to sunshine and warmer weather but forecasters aren’t expecting anything quite like last weekend when temperatures soared above 23 C. It might be cool but it’s not snowing, so chalk this up as a May long weekend miracle.

Today’s forecast
