Man injured in downtown Edmonton stabbing

A man was transported to hospital in life-threatening condition Tuesday night after police responded to reports of a stabbing in downtown Edmonton.

The man’s condition was upgraded to stable after undergoing surgery.

EPS and EMS responded to the scene in the area of 101 Street and 105 Avenue at around 10:20 p.m.

EPS say the man was found “bleeding profusely from the neck” by security at a bus stop in front of the Epcor Tower. The suspect fled the scene northbound on 101 Street.

The EPS downtown division is now trying to identify the suspect.
