Police investigating suspicious death months after human remains found near Wood Buffalo

Wood Buffalo RCMP are investigating a suspicious death after human remains were found in a burned out travel trailer two months ago near Conklin.

The deceased, found April 8, has since been identified as William George Tremblay, 54, of Conklin. The RCMP major crimes unit is now investigating the death as ‘suspicious,’ police said in a news release Wednesday.

Police are asking anyone with information about the case to contact them.

Conklin is approximately 350 kilometres north of Edmonton.
