Edmonton police are releasing CCTV footage of a shooting at a nightclub in central Edmonton as an attempt to identify suspects.

Downtown officers pulled over a car at approximately 3:15 a.m. last Sunday and inside the vehicle they found a 26-year-old man with a gunshot wound, a news release stated Friday. The man was sent to hospital with non-life threatening injuries and an ensuing police investigation found that a shooting took place at Star Nightclub on 109 Street.

Once police arrived at the club, they saw several men leave the building who were uncooperative. Inside the lounge they found blood and received the CCTV footage.

They have now released footage that shows people dancing and then scattering throughout the lounge. At least three people are then seen walking around calmly as others hide in booths and under tables. It appears that at least one man is holding what looks like a gun.

One man lays on the floor for the majority of the video.

Police are asking for help specifically identifying the suspects and are looking to speak to anyone who was present.

The gunshot victim is still recovering and no arrests have yet been made.
