Motorists in Edmonton will have one less traffic circle to contend with starting on Friday morning.
The change will accommodate trains for the Valley Line southeast LRT, which, eventually will run along the east side of 85/83 Street and cross 90 Avenue at street level. This means the area will be going through a series of lane restrictions as the new four-way intersection is constructed.
TransEd spokesman Dean Heuman on Tuesday called this portion of the project “the most significant traffic phase changes along the Valley Line southeast.”
He urged motorists to be cautious as there will be flaggers out to help direct traffic.
