Watch: Police warn of fake McDavid signatures

Edmonton police are warning sports fans to be aware of fake Connor McDavid signatures on some Edmonton Oilers jerseys.

Police received the first complaint in April 2018 when a man sold two fraudulently signed jerseys for $1,400 through Facebook Messenger. Police confirmed through the Oilers Entertainment Group that the autographs on those jerseys were not authentic.

Chandra Vinesh Singh, 23, also known as Vinesh or Vinny, has been charged with fraud over $5,000, fraud under $5,000, false pretence and two counts of possession of a forged document.
